I am studying the Hindu faith and find it fascinating. I was wondering what political party do most American Hindus affiliate themselves with. I would prefer to hear from practicing Hindus that are American citizens and are registered voters. Thank you for your time!

As an American Hindu, I can tell you that myself and most other Hindus I associate with are registered Republicans. I’ve also seen other statistics saying that most Hindus are Republicans. American Hindus are a very high income group, and are generally quite religious, two traits that tend to favor conservatism.
Although many of my Hindu friends/family didn’t vote for Bush in 2004…but virtually all of them voted for McCain and literally all of us love Reagan.
