Do I need to register my internet business?

I live in the U.K. I won’t need to pay V.A.T. but suppose I do very well can someone decide to do the same thing and call it the same name and steal it from me? I don’t understand all the different types of companies there are. Its an internet adult shop that does affiliate promotion.

If you don’t gte a business license, anyone can start an internet business oof the same name and take advantage of the visibility you have created. They cannot have the same domain, of course, but it can be very close.
